About Us
Akhil Gramin Yuva Vikas Samiti (AGYVS) is one of the premier Non-Government Organizations in Bihar established in 1975. Since establishment, it is working with the marginalized and the deprived communities mainstreaming them with economic and social development, improving their living status, health status, education, leadership skill, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood options. It was founded by a group of dedicated and committed social activists, who were inspired by the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and Jai Prakash Narayan to work for the creation of a just and equal society and K.D. Diwan sir’s ideology and working methodology serves as a guiding principles for AGYVS.
It gradually moving to enhancement of knowledge, skill, expertise to advance business portfolio, get access to health services, ensure gender and social equity, strengthen local governance, have access to government schemes, conserve natural resources, mitigate calamities and dialogue with stakeholders/ policy makers for making them accountable to pro poor policies.
Constant effort over 47 years brought significant improvement among thousands of families (women & children in particular) through developmental projects.
It is presently delivering its services in 11377 villages of 326 Gram Panchayats of 21 blocks of 3 districts of Bihar. Child Education programmes are implemented among Dalit, Mahadalit and Minority communities so that their children may also avail education and mainstreamed too and the only option to be equipped with education.

Subodh Kumar Pandey, Secretary-cum-CEO
Dr. Subodh Kumar Pandey is a Post Graduate having 25 years vast experience in social work. He is Secretary and CEO in the organization and look after office administration. He guides, support, supervise and monitors all the implemented programmes and he liaison/ coordinate/ respond to donor partners. He also attends various National/ State/District level meetings/workshop. He independently reviews the progress of any programmes by field visits and conduct review meeting with respective field staffs. He also reviews the accounts of each programme and arrange for timely funds to the programmes. He is also responsible for timely Governing Body meeting and act in the direction. In this project, he will support in liaison, advocacy, and coordination with multi-stakeholders, monitor the programme and coordinate with partner agencies.
